vintage modern senior

Meet Jenny…a stunningly beautiful girl with timeless taste. Even though they only had a week to prepare, she and her mom made exquisite clothing choices and were so well prepared for this shoot. I love the gamut of looks we covered. Sweet, dramatic, classic, sophisticated, casual, and vintage. What a beautiful start to senior season 2011!! You would never know by these pics that it was 199 degrees outside when we shot…okay maybe it was only 105 degrees….but still, it was HOT! Jenny was a trooper!

A little comment on this next series of pictures. All of you girls are going to be drooling over this pink chaise lounge. Sadly, it is not mine. Oh, how I wish it was!! This belonged to Jenny’s grandmother and she brought it along to incorporate into the shoot. I LOVE it when clients bring treasured items to make pictures even more meaningful! Also, this stunning little dress she has on is a true vintage piece….1940′s…in pristine condition…purchased from the amazingly awesome vintage store Ahab Bowen in Dallas (go check it out).

and last but not least….some of my absolute favorites from the shoot….taken in those fleeting, warm, glowy, magical minutes that come right after the sun sets. To me, these pictures look like they were taken in the fall. That beautiful glow of the sunset brought out the amazing coloring in the trees and grass. See, even nature is sick of this horrid heat and is crying out for cooler weather!! : )
