One rainy Sunday morning I told my girls to get dressed for church and whatever they chose to wear they ‘needed’ to wear their rain boots with it because it was ‘rain boot Sunday’. (side note…we love our Hunter rain boots around here so any excuse we girls have to wear them we jump at it!). My 8yr old came out of her room in this amazing ensemble (a combination of items we hadn’t put together before). I flipped out and told her if it stopped raining later in the day we would do a photo shoot and then asked how she wanted to accessorize the shoot. She replied, “I think that I need a black vintage umbrella.”  LOVE her!

Jessica told me she tried on many dresses and then when she was at Neiman’s and slipped this one over her head she and her mom knew it was, ‘the one’…it was THE prom dress. This dress is so stunning and so amazing that it deserved some time carved out for it at the end of her senior shoot. I honestly felt like I was shooting  a model…Jessica worked the camera! We had so much fun. : )

I can’t believe it has already been a year since this precious girl’s newborn session. Time goes by way too quickly.

Pink, pearls, tulle, flowers, and ballet shoes…what is there not to love?

I love it when my senior clients want to incorporate family heirlooms into their shoot. It personalizes the shoot so much and weaves a part of their history and family into it. I adore this combo of her grandmother’s silk dress paired with vintage cowboy boots and a random chair we found at our shooting location. Love love!

Loved Christy’s shoot! She has a beautiful sense of style and I’m so thankful spring came early to Texas so the outdoors she loves so much could compliment her entire look.

This is just a small portion of this beautiful girl’s shoot but I loved the warmth of the sun we captured in this specific series. Even though it was a chilly spring evening the yummy light heralds the promise of the warmth of summer. Doesn’t that sound poetic? I’ll try to remember that when it’s 115 degrees here in a few months. ; )
